Energy Efficiency Programme
The East Midlands Energy Efficiency Programme

The programme is coordinated by the East Midlands Development Agency and aims to assist East Midlands based SMEs to improve their energy efficiency whilst at the same time enhancing profitability and competitiveness. Sustainable Technology Solutions have responsibility for the energy surveys. The programme culminated in March 2008.

The highly qualified team of Engineers at Sustainable Technology Solutions are visiting small and medium sized commercial and industrial businesses to carry out comprehensive energy surveys. The recommendations for energy saving have ranged from replacing inefficienct lighting to reusing waste packaging as a fuel for an on-site CHP plant. 100 companies have been offered the opportunity to benefit from a comprehensive on site survey aimed at identifying key areas where energy efficiency can be improved. At least 50 companies have persued energy saving measures as a result of the programme.
